A whole two year time skip? I figured a long while had passed since the preview last episode showed Yuuhi and Yuamu from the back only but I wasn't expecting them to grow so fast. I wonder, if they'll be using their first or second design when they're added to Duel Links.

Yuuhi will get 2 versions for each season will Yuamu will only have season 2

Gonna be honest, I can kind of see it since Yuuhi has such distinct personalities between seasons. It'll be like Jaden and Jaden/Yubel.

Looks like a lot of stuff happened during the timeskip, I can't wait to see. Also, maximums are returning and with what looks like a Yggdrago variant? Kinda wish they didn't gloss over the war the like though. That beginning cutscene felt so meh, like they couldn't even be bothered. Regardless, I'm excited to see what this season will bring.

I do hope Maximums are utilized better compared to last season.

And hope they don't get nerfed.

After the last episode I honestly had some hope for the rest of the show but no, they resolved the whole Velgear war offscreen, one of the biggest plot points of the show and the main driving force for both Yuudias and Zwijo.

Then we get a 2 year time skip which just doesn't work 80% of times. Now they have to show so much character development to fix this mess and considering the track record I doubt we'll get even half of what you would need.

Using Yuuga as a plot device is fine and even welcome imo but when it comes down to it in a serious duel he shouldn't just lose against a new Maximum. I'm not one that focuses on the win/lose ratio of a character but this would just be a disrespect.

that's just how sevens was tbf. If you're against a maximum, with no maximum, and you aren't named "Roa", you will lose.

I hope this arc is longer than 13 episodes because it looks darker than the first arc(i mean the first 51 episodes and not just the first 13 episodes)and at least the timeskip is already here because in SEVENS the timeskip is only in the last episode.
i'm surprised that Bradio sings both the opening song and the ending song, they also sang the opening song of Death Parade.
i thought that monster was Five-Headed Dragon, but it seems most people think it was a Maximum monster which is an Yggdrago variant.

I knew they were gonna do it that way but it is borderline TERRIBLE that they off screened the entire resolution to the Velgear war. It was a plot point that was so important, so regularly mentioned and served as a motivation to BOTH Yudias and Zwijo and now it is just over off screen. We never even learned the name of that cliche alien looking species they just made peace with or learned why was there a war at all. It was a thing that could have even served as a FINAL arc to this entire series and yet it is just off screened with Yudias getting an L to some rando which makes them understand each other just so that we can randomly have MIK as a villain as If it needed to be right now and could have not be 1 or 2 arc later.

They should have WITHOUT A DOUBT at least made a single arc about them solving the war but nope. Not to mention there are other ways to handle the war too. Even If they made peace with the enemy, Phaser and his brother could have be enemy aliens of that race that doesn't want peace and try to re ignite the war. That would give the writers ways to go a bit more deep into the details of the war and the enemy race If they were not trusting themselves to handle a full scale war. But once again NOPE. I never expected them to handle a thing such as war, good enough as even Arc V had failed in the ending of their show that had a dimensional war as its setting but this still failed terribly as they didn't even try and just wasted it all to put these 2 brothers and MIK into the villain spotlight. I hope they can at least make them good enough villains because this shit is just lame

A lot of his points throughout both Sevens and Go Rush aren't unjustified, they are legitimate criticism.
I do disagree with a lot of his points because he does tend to take certain things too serious or wants too much out of others but one thing is certain, he does care, he wouldn't bother to write that much if not.

Don't give em much credit, even when he has "good" points he still will call you a fan boy just cause you criticize him, for some of his opinions :p I once said he would be doing the same thing after sevens was done... and yep was right lol

My main criticism out of the way now I can talk about the rest of the episode.

1: Is it just me or does Yuamu look a bit off ? Her long hair on the side being gone made her look weird, it makes her side profile look too empty I don't like it.

2: Yuga vs Phaser already ? Well Yuga I guess your clownery surpass dimensions and shows because you are probably gotta take an L and against a Maximum no less. And now that we are gonna get a Maximum can Nail's variant be more involved or are they seriously gonna waste him even harder than they wasted Nail who EASILY got the worst treatment of Asana, Roa and him.

3: Speaking of Maximum I HOPE they will use Maximums more and better in this show. In sevens they were treated TERRIBLY. First they were almost invincible yet almost no one had it almost like a god card and then suddenly EVERYONE started to beat them so easily and they were completely wasted in comparison to Fusions who were given to everyone. That was such a waste and disrespect especially when Maximum is the actual Rush duel mechanic unique to it while Fusion is a knock off they stole from the superior master duels. I respect the self reflection of them to know the main game's methods are superior but treating their own method inferior was such a stupid move. They should have put more importance to their unique style instead of giving it to so little character and making it a punching bag on top of it so I hope this show will fix those mistakes and give more people Maximum and treat them better. And If they are gonna make more methods they should make it unique like Maximums instead of copying yet another method from the main game

4: Yudias tanking that ''Karutumata'' named laser might be an indication that Zwijo turning him back from a shirt caused Yudias to become a ''whole'' being unlike most other Velgear people.

5: Someone that looks like Yuuhi was seen with the brothers in a poster. After watching this episode perhaps Yuuhi will try to join them so he can betray them later and that is why he is acting distant to the main group. I don't know why else would he join the villains If that becomes a plot point because I assume making him seriously change and be in his rebellious phase to the point of joining villains is too stupid even for Bridge standarts. And either way If he has a plan or If this shit is meant to give him more character development that is yet another big important role and development that is centered around Yuuhi. Meanwhile Yuamu doesn't get any development or actual focus like always. Hopefully the little brother's line about wanting her is an indication of rivalry. Yuamu SERIOUSLY needs more development and some actual win than to only win against nobodies.

Bridge yugioh treat their girls better than Gallop standarts but I am really starting to be dissatisfied with the treatment of the girls in this show. Rovian has 3 lose and only a single win despite she was supposed to be a really strong duelist, She went from being one of the top duelists in the show to probably not even making top 7.

Yuna has a SINGLE duel despite being a pretty decent character with a lot of room to explore (like her relationship with Yuga) and she gets good amount of screen time too and yet they just don't give her more duels, that is annoying. And Yuamu lacks any development and only beat random people. Yes Yuuhi lost some duels but he always gets plenty of episodes or arcs centered around his development and yet Yuamu is the same as always no change. She lacks an actual good win and ACTUAL focus and development.

To me this is what I call "Too deep insight" or lookin too deep into the show.

I know your mannerisms is common in the anime community but hot damn just enjoy it if you can. I am a simple man literally if it makes me happy I shall love it. I live my life with near zero expectations with room for errors and contradictions.

I agree to a degree. Wins have a vaule if they didnt then real life betting on races like horse races would NEVER exist literally betting revovles around "chance" or " percentage".
